I think Joe's still shooting film. Besides 24-90 becomes a classic wide angle to telephoto on APS-C, like a 35-135 on 35mm film, a fairly nice range for a walking around lens. Pentax in fact made two of those one in A and one in F livery. So did Nikon, Canon, and maybe even Olympus though I don't remember ever seeing one.

Pulling some percentages out of my butt, I'd give a better than 50% chance that Pentax - Ricoh will announce a full frame K mount DSLR in January of 2013 shipping sometime before July. It will probably be in a K-5 style body, (called the K-3 I suppose), probably with in body AS (though maybe not the latter as there might not be enough room for it), it will use the 24mp sensor that Sony is using in it's A99 camera which Pentax will manage to eek out just a bit more IQ from than either Sony or Nikon. You can take that IOU to the bank.

Mmmm...

Any insights on the future Pentax FF that you want to share with us?

(once you get the lens, of course...)

Does anyone have a good copy of this lens available for sale?

Don't lose heart, they might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthly search.
