P.S. On second glance I agree with Bill and Jerome. As the image came up
(top to bottom) I thought the flare was the subject. But if the
inscription is the subject, then the flare is a distraction. And
placement a bit off-center would help.

Alternatively, you could crop off the pedestal, and then the flare would
be the first focus of a viewer's eye. I would crop the left side, too.
