Definitely from a crashed alien spaceship. They'll probably be coming for it soon so make sure you have lots of snacks and libations around.

Someone else thought it might be a geode, but didn't know for sure -- the heft made him think it probably isn't. So, I figured I'd ask all the smarties in PDML if they had any thoughts. Anything?
