Eight weeks ago this evening I was sitting in a hospital waiting room wondering
what was wrong with my shoulder, hoping it wasn't too badly mangled but fearing
the worst.

As it turned out a cracked clavicle was far from "the worst".

Went for more x-rays today and got the okay to ride.

My ROM is pretty much the same as the right shoulder. Pain is all but gone and
what pain I feel is almost certainly soft tissue and not the break.

Mild concern that the x-rays are not showing much bone between the clavicle and the
"chip" that broke off, but the doc said that sometimes x-rays just don't show
that new bone well. And since the two ligaments in the area appear to be strong and
supporting things well, and since my pain is all but gone, riding should be okay.

Light rides this weekend and if no pain, cleared for work on Monday.

Return for one last set of x-rays in January as a precaution.

That is a lot of talk for: we're back on the bike again! Woo-hoo!

cheers,
frank
