There was a situation a bit like that here a couple of years ago. More and more street food vendors have been trading (perfectly legally) from the market, and attracting a great many people to Greenwich. Some of the bricks & mortar cafés and restaurants tried to get the council to ban them, because it was taking custom away from them! Capitalists until the competition turns up.
