I like the sharpness wide open. The other neat thing about this lens
is how close you can focus with it. It is apparently a 1:2 macro and
will focus down to a couple of inches in front of the front lens
element.
It sounds like the quality of these lenses can vary greatly, but this
appears to be a "good 'un". Thanks again, Stan!
