It's really pretty, but still a "me too" product hiding behind a retro look. You know, Pentax was on this retro look thing before everyone else. At first sight of the K-7 I thought the Prism/Flash housing was reminiscent of the LX's FA-2 finder, and the grip looked a lot like the grip on an MDA, heck it had a lot of styling cues to remind one of past Pentax SLRs. One look at the specifications and I was all right with that. The MX-1has a bunch of styling cues to remind one of the MX and ME etc. series of cameras, but then I looked at it's specs and I wasn't. Oh well.
