It's going to be fun and educational to learn how to use this one. One thing I need to do is write up a list of hyperfocal distances at different apertures and paste it on the inside of the lenscap. I played with it a bit last night while friends were playing at a local bar: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157632619021190/ It's funny how so many of the photos I took look familiar. I guess there's only so much that you can do with a superwide lens, and every rock photographer with one has already done it. I'm looking forward to playing with it and my astrotracer. It's certainly not a "daily driver" lens, but will be a lot of fun when it is the right lens to use. > > By the way, Nikon's 10 mm fish-eye lens is also amusingly small. > > On 1/25/2013 11:29 PM, Larry Colen wrote: >> My first quick test drive, a few shots around the house, nothing >> particularly artistic about these photos: >> http://www.flickriver.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157632607199177/ >> >> Short form: for under $300, I'm very pleased with this lens, and I'll >> almost certainly have more uses for it than a manual focus 85/1.4. >> >> -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com sent from i4est > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
