Is there some sort of trick to getting the remote control O-RC1 to work
with the K01 and K-5? I just got one in the mail that I ordered. I
figured that I had to do to fire the shutter was turn the camera on,
point the remote at it and press the button on the remote. But no
amount of button pressing or remote waving does a dang thing with either
camera... I'm wondering if this thing is DOA?

You have to set the Drive Mode to use the remote control.
