Hi, Bob. 1. Well, it doesn't have to be Folgers, of course. (All of the usual brands sell coffee in that size.) However, the colors and markings on the lids do vary by brand, and some are tackier than others, I guess. 2. A 13 oz can disappears pretty rapidly when you take your caffeine intravenously - <g>.
