I'd like to ask a question. Under Record menu, screen 5, (on my K-5,
but I know other models have this same feature), there are Instant
Review options. One of them is "Bright/Dark Area", which when ON will
cause your blown out highlights to blink on the LCD screen. I always
thought that this meant that the pixel sites had been saturated (which
would be true whether the output was RAW or JPEG). Is that incorrect?

If that is correct, it seems to me that it is all one needs to make
sure that one is not blowing out parts of your image in the highlights
(which is the "sin" that we seem to be wanting to avoid, most of all).
Correct or incorrect?
