Thanks, Dave.  This is an amazingly deep crop.  Because I didn't know the dog 
(just noticed it outside of a store I was leaving), I didn't want to get too 
close. I didn't want to spook the dog, though I agree he looks harmless enough. 
 Still . . .

 I had the DA40 on the K-5.  I wish I'd had the FA50 on me; I would have used 
that instead.  Still, it came out ok.  Even as I was taking the picture, I knew 
I wanted black and white and the high key rendering seemed to work out ok.  I 
have to get my FA50 fixed.  I bought some bubble wrap.  I'll be sending in my 
FA 50 and DA* 50-135 this week.
