Thank you, Ken.
I like to think of it as a good start. As I get better with flash and
put together a decent and reasonably portable lighting rig, I'll be able
to consistently get more flattering results.
I just hope she doesn't get bored with it too soon. Or, worse still,
going down the wrong path and ruining her looks (and life!) with drugs
and partying too much. I've seen that happen to a lot of beautiful young
girls in this area.

Nice work Walt, all are very good IMO, but I really like the very
first one - looks as if she's leaning on the left hand edge of the frame!
Nice exposures and good poses.

Subject: GESO: Alisa W. photo shoot -- 6/17/13 (50 images)
I woke up today with an itch to take some photos and decided, what
the hell -- I'll see if I can find someone to pose for me. So, I
updated my Facebook status to see if anyone might be interested.
Shortly thereafter, I got a response from a friend of mine who's been
telling me for quite a while that she wants me to photograph her
daughter. She was ready to get it underway within two hours, but I
told her I had to make some arrangements with a friend of mine to see
if I could use his place to take some shots and that we ought to
shoot for the early afternoon, just to give him a little bit of
notice. I called, he agreed, and we all went out there and started
shooting. This is the product after my initial run-through of the
more easily workable shots:

All shot with the K-5 and F50/1.7 with my recently purchased flash
unit attached. I didn't bother with any wireless stuff as I wanted to
play it safe and didn't want any big surprises. Also, I didn't
realize until I got home that I'd had the diffuser in my pocket the
whole time. So, some of the shots came out a tad harsh, but overall,
I have to say I'm pretty pleased with what I was able to do. All
shots were done hand-held with manual flash.
Comments appreciated.
Thanks!
