I like the foreground; it makes the image a bit different from the usual postcard style landscape.
The ideal solution, of course, is to convert this image into two separate images: one pretty much the way it is now, and one eliminating some or all of the foreground and bringing out the peaks and the thunderhead a bit more. In any event, it is a great image.
