I purposely darkened her upper legs for the composition, while
attempting to avoid a featureless mass. The result that you see will,
unfortunately, depend on your monitor's response curve. Were I to
print this I imagine I'd have to make several attempts until I got the
balance just right.

Ideally I'd have been dealing with a different pose and I'd make her
upper legs go entirely into silhouette, making it more likely to
reproduce on any output device. Should I ever get better at this I'll
think of that when I'm _taking_ the shots rather than when I'm
reviewing them later in Lightroom!

Fine suggestion on selective colour. However, when I have tried that
in the past I haven't been very happy with the result. I'm not
generally a fan of selective colour, grouping it with HDR, white
vignettes and faux frames under the category: Art or Artifice?

But I was sad to see the red go; if any shot could benefit from
selective colour this is a likely candidate.
