I was at an Alleycat bike race last weekend (illegal street race). It was for single speed bikes only so it attracted lots of non-messenger fixed gear afficionados.
They dress like messengers, wear messenger bags and ride brakeless "fixies" around town. They're called "fakengers" (fake messengers, get it?) a name even the poseurs have adopted with pride.
