Interesting study. Have you tried swapping the red and blue channels?
Skins tones would be more natural but maybe not the effect you want.

I was hoping that nylon rope and webbing would not reflect IR, and would
just appear black, so that fluorescent rope in IR and black light would only
show the fluorescent colors, rather than the colors mixed with the IR
baseline. That didnt' quite work, but the technique does show a
