Thanks for commenting, Steve!  It's actually a pretty narrow space, surrounded 
by scrubby trees and without much maneuvering room.  

Like a moth to a candle, I'll probably be drawn to shoot it again when we're up 
there next year, and will give a wider view a try.

very clever to mirror the trunk & the cracks, but the perspective is indeed 
unsettling; could you use a wider field of view and bring the horizon in from 
the same perspective?
