Marnie, unless you absolutely have to have a Pentax, I'd heartily recommend you 
look at the Nikon Coolpix P7100, a really great little package that has most of 
the features of a mid to low level DSLR with a lens that goes to an effective 
200mm. It's recently out of production but I still see them on the net. Got 
mine a few weeks ago for around $350.
