I've found a noticeable difference in frame size between the Mamiya RB67 and the Pentax 6x7. The Pentax's frame is slightly shorter and slightly wider, giving a more rectangular aspect ratio. We're only talking a couple of millimetres at most but it is noticeable, especially when scanning or mounting the slides. I think 24x36mm is something of a standard for 35mm cameras. > Despite the > advocates of never cropping a print from the full frame of the > negative, I always allow a small margin of error in the framing of the > shot, and tend to not quite fill the frame as a result. I always shoot primes at the moment, so I don't tend to have very fine control of my framing.
