Thanks to those who looked & commented.

Yes, most tourists are not that knowledgeable. At least they noticed them! Many tourists drive too fast & don't see as much as they could.

When the local film lab closed down in 2011, I decided to go digital. At first I tried a C***n body with my Pentax lenses using adapters but then picked up a bargain K110D body which proved to be a better option. Now that I have the K7, I will have a big clean out. When you have all upgraded to K3's, perhaps there will be some bargain k5's?

You know it's a capable camera but I didn't think anyone had actually
bought a K110D.

The tourists you get must be blind. Those don't look anything like
turkey buzzards.

These are Ground Hornbills often referred to as "Turkey Buzzards" by N. American tourists because of their resemblance to the Vulture (Turkey) Buzzard. They are the largest of the hornbills, not completely flightless, spending most of the time foraging for food on the ground. They are quite scarce with a slow breeding rate (about 1 chick per year).

K7 - the one with the chick; K110D - the others. All with the FA 100-300.
