They add new anti reflective baffles to increase the efficiency of the baffling. They also add both an ultraviolet and an infrared filter, to trim what the meter cell sees down to the visible spectrum. Then they add a coloured filter that brings the meter response to that of film. After that, the meter is calibrated for accuracy and linearity to within 1/6 of a stop. A Zone VI modified meter sees light the same way that film does. A Zone VI modified meter is colour blind, which means that it will not be thrown off by strongly coloured subjects. It is the only truly accurate spot meter. > > I am familiar with Ansel Adams zone system ( The Negative) and every time > I take a light reading of a subject, mentally use the zone system, I use 35mm > color slide and negative film so obviously I cannot apply the development > part of the zone system. > > Can somebody give me a detailed description of Zone V1 conversion.
