Well, I could. But it was a quiet rain coming, subtle, not dramatic. Darkening the sky makes it far more dramatic than it was. I've already emphasized it some. :-)
What happened, however, was that the wind moved the clouds to the north and east. Instead of the rain we had strong sunshine a little later in the day, despite the very chill temperatures.
