I know you probably have, but I have to ask: did you clean the contacts well?

Correct me if I'm wrong but aperture is read by passing current
through the lens mount and the "A" pin. Oh wait. Digital lens. Hmm,
maybe the aperture is controlled with the chip. I only have screw
mount lenses, but getting a few DA lenses wet (and I mean soaked)
resulted in MF only first and then eventually loss of aperture
control. the MF only is telling. Sounds like you have a bad chip or a
bad connection.
