It looks like Ricoh, with its miniscule photography market share, needed Pentax just as much as Pentax, having little money, needed Ricoh. It is a mutually beneficial relationship.
I gave strong consideration to leaving Pentax until the K-3 advance came out. What I look for in the future is for R-P to do things like update the AF system to eliminate or greatly reduce hunting. Along with other necessities that are firmware issues.
