By the way... that was taken in Hyde park in London. 

At 100% magnification one can make out details in the feathers. I have
concluded two things:
1 - The DA 55-300 is indeed an astonishing lens and an amazing
bargain.
2 - In-body image stabilization is brilliant: this was taken hand-held
at 150mm and a shutter speed of 1/25 second
