The narrow dof was because I was hand holding balanced precariously on a table next to the only sunny window in the house. I wanted high shutter speed to give me some sharpness.
I couldn't get perpendicular to the glass hence the oof parts off-centre. I kind of like the effect. No re-attempts because the frost is long gone. Thanks to all who commented and looked.
