There's a film by Alain Resnais (Hiroshima mon amour, Last year in Marienbad, 
Muriel, ...) called On connait la chanson (Same old song) which features 
jellyfish in a tank. Reminded me of that. 

Good film, by the way. If you know his earlier work but not his work from the 
1990s you'll probably be surprised to learn that it's a musical comedy 
influenced by Alan Ayckbourn and Dennis Potter. Still a French film, of course, 
and therefore completely baffling (why does a bourgeois couple have a tankful 
of jellyfish in their flat, and why does it start swinging with strange camera 
movements?), but a long way from Hiroshima and Marienbad.
