Heh - I meant the strand going across her face:-) I imagine she brushed
it aside shortly after you took the photo...
Point understood about the oof background. anyway, lovely work!

Hi Ann, thank-you very much.
As I wrote Darren, I left that out-of-focus stuff in the background for
not making the pic look like shot against a white background in the studio.
Cheers,
Dario

I agree .. I like both, but BW dazzling. We did see that color one
before, no?
Dario's gal is terrific except I want to reach out and brush that one
strand away :-)
And Paul, that picture of Grace is marvelous - one of your best of her-
because she really didn't know you took that one, I bet.

Thanks Paul! I prefer the B&W also.
Someday I will learn to post-process my color stuff as well as my B&W. :\

Both the color and the BW are superb, but I like the BW more. The sky
is angrier and more dramatic in that version.

Thanks, Larry. After I submitted that, I did a monochrome conversion
that (IMHO) is even better:

The image above was invited to Flickr EXPLORE from my photostream
(only my 2nd image to be given such an honor).
I also think that Dario's portrait is the cream of the crop, although
the slight inclusion of whatever in the lower left is a bit
distracting to me. I also think it is funny that we had TWO
submissions of long-haired girls on swingsets. What are the chances?
(I like both of them).

Thank you, Brian. Much appreciated!
My picks from the gallery ...
Dario's portrait is excellent, and I agree with Bob's Birth of
Venus parallels.
I love Hank's shot. I guess I have a soft spot for puppies on a
horse. :-)
Rob's Fun Guys is both fascinating and yucky.
Larry takes the double entendre prize.
Brian, thank you once again for your efforts.

G'day all
After a slow start, a rush of submissions resulted in one of the
largest
recent galleries.
Like last month, Bruce has my favourite with "Anemone pulsatilla"
but I like
Dario's 'Lisa'and Paul's 'Halo, too. Not quite sure what to make
of Larry
W's 'but Shapley'....
Certainly a gallery with a wide range of interpretations on the
theme.
As usual, you'll find the gallery here:
http://pug.komkon.org/
(you may need to refresh your browser if you see the previous Gallery
there).
Note: The automated submission process usually works well but it's
not
infallible. So, if you made a submission and you don't see it in the
gallery, let me know.
