Just had a chance to look at these. What's with the ringed trees? Park people usually like things nice and tidy, so unwanted trees are cut down. Ringed trees (I'm assuming the other trees in the background are similarly mutilated) are dead and will fall down at some point. Litigators 'r' us will have a field day if one piledrives a granny into the dirt, as happens so often to poor W. E.
