how long is it from beak to end of tail? blackbird (obviously, but not necessarily) or common grackle possibly. Not a grossbeak ;-P

I think it's a young bird whatever it is.

I tried to put it up in some shrubbery where I thought it might have a
chance if it lives long enough for the leg to heal. But I expect one of
the neighborhood cats is probably going to get it.
