Thanks, David.

We did the "climb" by car, of course, although a few hardy souls were
biking up the mountain.  A much more popular activity is to take a van
up the mountain at 4:00 AM, watch the sun rise over the Pacific, and
then ride a bicycle down the mountain, through several changes of
climate and vegetation patterns, to the beach at Paia, near the big
surf on the North Shore.
