The lens being tested is an Otamat 20mm f1.7 microfiche reader lens. I
bought this and the Otamat 10mm some years ago, and am finally getting
around to using them. While it has high resolution it makes a very low
contrast and low saturation image, and so I have pumped things up in
post processing. There is a good bit of detail but also a somewhat
misplaced aspect to the color and contrast - probably an artifact of
manipulating things after exposure. Finding an optic to get into the 5x
and beyond realm is a bit of a challenge. My snowflake setup works at
those magnifications, but it really intended for single exposures and
not stacked images.
