Karsh was pretty much a very well paid superstar photographer. At his
peak he lived in a suite of rooms at the Chateau Laurier, a still
prestigious hotel in Ottawa.

The Life Of Karsh is a great read, and would really open the eyes of
many present-day photographers. Especially the "get it right in
camera" cultists. (He employed a team of retouchers.)


Pity the fucking Harper government won't actually support the arts unless their vanity is at stake. I bet Herr Stevedolf will insist that the photographer try to make him look like a human being rather than a swamp creature that's been on dry land for too long.
