I just caught a P30t on ebay and used it first yesterday. The noise is ugly. Making photos of people in front of the railway station I feared someone would mention it, feel disturbed by me taking photos -probably of him- and snatch it off. I mentioned the K1000 is quite loud, too. My MX (I don't own any more) had a nicer noise. The MZ-5N makes some sound because of the motor. I have never used any other camera body.
