Thanks, Igor.

My wife and I did a river cruise in Russia in 1998. We had three days
in Moscow, then a week on the rivers, canals and reservoirs, and
finally 3 days in St Petersburg, Since it was a group tour, we did
didn't have enough time to see everything we wanted to see. We did
make it to Peterhof, and to the Catherine Palace in Pushkin, as well
as to the Hermitage and the gold room. We saw the diamond room
(Almazny Fond), in Moscow, not the one in Petersburg. In both cases,
our tour guide was quite annoyed when we insisted on being able to
visit (for an extra fee) the gold and diamond collections.

I think we saw enough of Moscow and the Russian hinterland, but there
was a lot more we wanted to see in St Pete. We would also like to see
Finland, which is why we are considering a Baltic cruise.

My wife has a tendency towards motion sickness, and that's why I
wangted to hear from anyone who has been on one of the Baltic cruises.
We did the ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo years ago, and it was a very
rough crossing.
