Purchased one from Craigslist very cheaply due to this issue ...
and a missing red plastic ... after buying a replacement plastic,
still only $35 in the unit.

I agree wrt the AF360FGZ. I had one that lasted over a decand but a
newer one saw very little use and the door will not close tightly
enough to maintain contact. I only use it as a supplemental flash
indoors since the only way I can get the door closed tightly enough to
maintain contact is to put a large spring clamp on it.

Anyone else ever have a problem with Pentax flashes and broken or
flimsy battery doors? Mine was wonky from the start (360FGZ) and now
it wont close at all. I guess duct tape is in order...
Seems a poor design. WAY too much spring action on the batteries makes
for a very tight door, breaking the plastic guides.
