So this isn't as weird as it seems. Taken last weekend at an indigenous 
peoples' festival, the fox is an animal totem. Ojibway, I think. But I could be 
wrong.

There were crows, eagles and horses (the latter obviously being a post European 
invasion - I mean contact - thing), all wandering about the grounds.
