For three evenings every season, our local minor league baseball park goes to the dogs. The event, called "Bark in the Park," is sponsored by pet supply companies and the local vets. Patrons are allowed to bring their dogs to the ball park on those evenings, and have an opportunity to parade around the field before the game begins. There are also fireworks after the game, with a 10 minute break so dogs that are afraid of fireworks can beat a dignified retreat.
