There were all kinds of darkroom techniques to add interest to bland
skies, and in the age of Rhine II, they are certainly legal. Photoshop
only makes them easier.

Am posting these two shots with some hesitation. I was looking for a misplaced
CD when I
came across these shots among a stack of drug store scans. Both of which, I'm
certain, were shot
with an ME Super fitted with an M28~80 one-touch lens.
First is a 30(?) year old shot of Mt Shasta. Taken from the edge of the town of
Mt Shasta.
Lousy angle for the mountain, but gave it a sorry try. In order to see what the
disorganized
mass of clouds might hold, I screwed on a polarizing filter and the startling
disheveled
upper half of this scene suddenly revealed itself.

The second ODD shot is of an Almond orchard in "popcorn" bloom which was either
late February
or early March, maybe, 15 yrs ago.
The butte peak jutting above the trees was probably some 1000(?) yards away,
but appears I had set
a fairly small aperture.
It obviously seriously bends a couple basic photographic rules, but it's
"uniqueness" (if you will)
may justify the posting.
