Many thanks for your comments.

Since many seem to equate "monochrome" with "black & white",
I tried to play with that term. My image was (practically) monochromatic but
it was not B&W. I guess, my decision to title it as such did not work
as I intended.

Your guess on the subject is very close.
Hint : Detail of a transparent plastic object under sunlight;
part directly reflecting it, part -slightly- transparent.
