Thanks, Igor ...
I'll keep this email for sure
It had only happened on flickr - I had two other windows open I know for
sure...it was in Firefox that it happened - I didn't think
of trying to go there in chrome, I had merely clicked on the link...
Never saw anything like it before.

Ann,
This is likely some sort of corruption of the information.
It might be a glitch in your browser, but it might also be an
indication that you have some "weak" bit in the computer's memory
(main RAM or RAM used by the video card; those could be shared,
depending on your computer's hardware).
You don't need to do anything at this point. (And most likely you
cannot do much about that.) But if you see something similar
repeating, I'd suggest de-maximizing the browser window (so that it
doesn't take the entire screen, but just a portion). If those lines
will remain through the area not covered by the browser, it is likely
a problem with the memory used by the video-card.
Otherwise, it is either a glitch in the browser or a problem with the
main RAM.
That might be helpful for you to know what is the likely culprit
if/when the computer fails in the future.

while viewing that GESO he jsut sent us, this weirdness happened... it

At first I thought it must be something set up to prevent image
pilfering - can't be just my computer
as it only happens on that page on flikker.. hmmm
