Yeah, PJ & Ann, you are quite right! Jack, thank goodness for MF. A group of
terrified bats flew out of the culvert as he went in.
We later met a lady at Sable Dam (almost dry now) about 2km south of this
location who had earlier witnessed 2 Leopards drinking. This is the only
remaining permanent water in about a 30km radius. Next Tuesday we are going
to the Sable Dam bird hide at crack of dawn. Gates open at 05:30 so we
should make it by 06:00. I'll take tripod & the 1.7x just in case. Chinese
curse, be damned!
