In Photoshop you can create a custom brush with your signature or
watermark and paint it anywhere on the image you want it to be. I
control the transparency by putting it on it's own layer, but you could
use the brush's transparency/flow controls OR use the fade control under
Edit instead.

I know Lightroom doesn't have layers, but does it have the fade command
in the Edit menu?
