The "Old Cathedral" (Basilica of St. Louis) was built 1831-1834, and was the
first cathedral west of the Mississippi River. It lost its status as the seat
of the Archdiocese of St. Louis when a larger cathedral opened a few miles west
in 1914.

Obviously, the Archbishop should still be here.

Comments appreciated.
