Eight days ago, I shipped my 16-50 off to Precision Camera for a new motor. Today, it arrived back on my doorstep. Along with the hood, and front & rear caps. Everything fits as it should, and... AF appears to be working as well. Someday, when it stops raining & snowing, I'll take it out for the brick wall test, but, so far, so good!
Makes me feel a little foolish for letting it sit for 18 months in need of repair... But, I must say I was pleasantly surprised at such quick service. Way faster than the last time I sent a lens out for repair. For the record - new motor, cleaned inside & out, plus 2 day return shipping was $214..
