My taste in abstracts runs towards those that are really abstract. In that regard I like Stairwell #1 of these the best. Raw and powerful geometry, great use of color and shadow.

The problem with being that abstract is that viewers sometimes get hung up on guess what the subject matter is. I think #1 is strong enough on just form and geometry to overcome that. Stairwell #8 would be my second choice ase an abstracted representation of a recognizable subject.
