One of the many treasures of Ephesus is this relief carving of Nike, the winged goddess victory. She holds a wreath of laurel leaves, an emblem of victory, in her left hand, and a stalk of wheat in her right hand and is shown flying. This work dates from the Roman period, and was discovered among the ruins on the Square of Domitian.
