Some bits do cost an inordinate amount of money, while others are amazingly reasonable. Most extreme case I've run into was my ca 1959-1960 Hektor 135/4.5: the lens cost me $175 in near mint condition, but finding the correct cap and lens hood for it was nearly another $90. So much for a couple of little bits of plastic.
Which 35/1.4 do you have? I have a 1972 version 2.. I don't recall the hood as being horridly difficult to find or terribly expensive. I think I got the hood from EBay. (BTW: I love this lens! It's the original Walter Mandler design, very small and light for its speed, and has the most beautiful rendering qualities—very adjustable with the aperture as well. I had it coded for the six-bit reader so the M-D recognizes it and assigns the right profile automatically.) I'll look in on your new set of photos shortly. :-) G > On Jul 11, 2016, at 10:48 AM, Bob W <p...@web-options.com> wrote: > > Here are some more shots trying out different types of subject, taken today, > getting used to the camera.
