Pentax Canada shows both versions of the 55-300 as coming with a hood.
If your lens is new, not new to you, it should have had a hood included.
I expect the Pentax hood is available as a part.

You may want to sit down before you look, though.  One of the main UK suppliers
used to list Pentax lens caps with the note "Same plastic, twice the price" -
and they were.  Lens hoods were up to 1/3rd of the cost of the new lens.

A replacement hood for my bigma, if I could find one, would be upwards of $60.
